About Acharya Entrance Test (AET)

AET Exam Guidelines
1. Eligibility Criteria :
- NRI Status : The student must be an NRI (Non-Resident Indian) holding a valid NRI status as per government regulations.
- Educational Qualification : Applicants must have completed atleast Class 12th or equivalent from an institution outside India, and those who have finished Class 12th from an international school will also be eligible for the scholarship examination.
- Age Limit : The applicant should not be less than 15 years of age while applying for the entrance test.
2. Application Process:
- Registration : Students must complete an online registration form, providing personal details, educational background, and NRI status documents.
3. Selection Criteria :
- Performance-Based Scholarships : Scholarships will be awarded based on the student's performance in the entrance examination.
- Tiered Scholarship System : The scholarship percentage (e.g., 25%, 50%, 75%) will be based on how well the student performs compared to the cut-off and top-performing students.
4. Terms and Conditions :
- Non-Retroactive : Scholarships are only applicable for students who have completed at least Class 10th from an institution outside India. Any student who has studied or completed Class 10th in India will not be eligible.
- Non-Transferable : The scholarship is awarded to individual students and cannot be transferred to others or deferred for future admissions.
- Validity : The scholarship will cover tuition fees for the specified duration of the chosen program. It will not cover any other expenses.
5. Post-Examination :
- Result Announcement : Exam results will be announced within 7 days after the exam, with the list of scholarship recipients published on Acharya website.
- Acceptance of Scholarship : Students must confirm their acceptance of the scholarship within 3 working days after receiving their offer and completing the provisional admission process by paying the stipulated fees.
- Renewal Criteria : Scholarships will be renewed each academic year based on the student maintaining a minimum CGPA as specified by the college guidelines.

AET Technical Guidelines
1. Network Speed
AET requires following minimum upload bandwidth (speed) to run online tests:
- AI proctored test - 512 kbps
- For Media questions or Stored video or Authorization – 1 MBPS

3. Browser Settings :
Once you have the latest supported browser versions, you may easily start the test. However, in a rare case you may face difficulty in starting the test, due to the pop-up blocker setting of your browser. Here is what you can do to fix this:
- Use the “allow once/always” pop-ups function from your browser settings to allow test window to open
- Optionally, you may disable the pop-up blocker for the duration of the test. Here is how you can do it:
- For Mozilla Firefox on Windows: Click the menu button and select Settings -> Select the Privacy & Security panel -> Go down to the Permissions section -> Uncheck the box next to Block pop-up windows to disable the pop-up blocker altogether.
- For Google Chrome: Go to ‘chrome: //settings/’ --> Click on 'Show advanced settings' (at the end of the page). Under 'Privacy and Security', click on Settings' > Privacy and security > site settings > Pop ups and Redirect’s > by clicking on > Sites can send pop-ups and use redirects, you’re allowing the site pop up’s.
- Microsoft Edge: Go to 'edge: //settings/content/popups' go to settings > Cookie’s and site permissions > Pop Ups and Redirect’s disable 'Block'.
- After performing the above steps, please restart the browser.
4. Things to remember :
Browser Cache Settings:
- It is always advisable to clear browser cache/cookies before starting any Mettl tests. For most browsers, pressing “CTRL+SHIFT+DELETE” and selecting Clear Cache (for Firefox and Chrome) helps you clear the cookies.
- In case you still face any issue in loading the test, shut down the system directly using the power button and then clear the cache again.
