PHD - PHARMACY PRACTICE

PhD in Pharmacy Practice is designed to provide detailed knowledge and skills required in the practice of pharmacy. Some areas of research that can be pursued are pharmaceutical care services to patients in clinical settings, which include medication reconciliation and medication therapy management.

Course Highlights

The program allows students to undertake in-depth investigations into various aspects of the pharmaceutical industry.
Students conduct clinical trials and clinical research in disease management.
The key areas of research include Pharmacovigilance, Pharmacoepidemiology, Pharmacoeconomics and Outcome Research and Drug Utilization Evaluations.
Explore community-based research for creating new knowledge.
Students are often exposed to an interdisciplinary approach, integrating principles from chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, and other related fields.
A significant portion of the program involves the completion of an original research project leading to the development and defense of a doctoral dissertation.
Ph.D. candidates typically work closely with experienced faculty mentors who guide and support their research endeavors.

Program Overview

Duration : Full-time course is for a minimum period of 3 Years and for a part-time course is for a minimum period of 5 Years
Eligibility : Candidates with M.Pharm degree awarded by a College/University recognized by AICTE/PCI/RGUHS or a P.G. Degree in Pharmacy considered as equivalent by RGUHS, are eligible for enrollment for the PhD course in Pharmacy.
