PHD IN PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES - PHARMACEUTICAL CHEMISTRY

Our advanced doctoral-level program is designed for individuals who aspire to contribute significantly to the advancement of knowledge in the pharmaceutical sector. The program emphasizes diverse chemistry facets such as organic synthesis, isolation of natural products, drug design utilizing CADD, and various research methodologies.

Course Highlights

Students are involved in research dedicated to the development of new drug/lead molecules.
Study of their impact on biological systems, starting from the molecular level knowledge of bioactive chemicals/molecules.
The program allows students to undertake in-depth investigations into various aspects of the pharmaceutical industry.
Students are often exposed to an interdisciplinary approach, integrating principles from chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, and other related fields
A significant portion of the program involves the completion of an original research project leading to the development and defense of a doctoral dissertation.

Program Overview

Duration : Full-time course is for a minimum period of 3 Years and for a part-time course is for a minimum period of 5 Years
Eligibility : Candidates with M.Pharm degree awarded by a College/University recognized by AICTE/PCI/RGUHS or a P.G. Degree in Pharmacy considered as equivalent by RGUHS, are eligible for enrollment for the PhD course in Pharmacy.
