Step-By-Step Travel Guidance

Pre-Arrival Travel Guide:-

Visa Application: Upon receiving the admission letter, students should apply for a Student Visa through the Indian embassy in their home country.
Visa Confirmation: Once the student visa is granted, a scanned copy must be sent to international@acharya.ac.in
Pre-Arrival Guide: Students will receive a comprehensive guide with the class start date and document details at least one month before classes begin.
Vaccinations: Ensure that all required vaccinations, including Yellow Fever, Typhoid, and Hepatitis, are taken before arriving in India to prevent medical complications. Refer to the Indian embassy in your country for specific vaccination requirements.
Early Reporting: Students are required to arrive at least 2 days before the commencement date of classes.
Airport Pickup: Inform the International Admission Office at least two weeks before your arrival to arrange for airport pickup. Provide complete flight details for a smooth transition.
Electrical Standards: Take note that the electrical standard in India operates on 240 V with 2 or 3-pin sockets. Bring appropriate chargers, adapters, or converters for your electronic devices to ensure compatibility.

Await the provisional admission letter
Ensure the clearance of your first-year-fees by the first week of May

What Makes Us Unique

Is IELTS or TOEFL mandatory?

Since the medium of instruction is English, students are expected to have some understanding of English. However, IELTS or TOEFL are not mandatory. Based on the student’s level of understanding, they will be given English language training.

How will I know when my classes will start?

An email containing the class commencement date will be sent to you one month in advance, requiring your arrival two days before the specified commencement date.

Will I be assisted with FRRO?

Yes, the college provides all the support for registration with the FRRO. Upon arrival, students must report to the college, and submit the rental agreement within 5 days if residing off-campus, Complete FRRO registration within 14 days of arrival.

What documents should I carry while leaving for India?

Refer to the “Important Information” document given in the pre-arrival guide.

How safe is the campus and hostel?

To guarantee a safe and secure study and living environment, Acharya consistently oversees round-the-clock security measures. Wardens and security guards are available 24x7.

Are the campus and hostels ragging/bullying-free?

The college takes adequate measures to keep the campus ragging-free, and smoking and alcohol-free.

Can I cook in the hostel?

We offer hostels equipped with kitchenette facilities.

Will I be given hostel accommodation on arrival?

To secure hostel accommodation, students must pay the fee before arrival to ensure availability. International students not opting for the hostel get a temporary two-night stay upon arrival but must find alternative accommodation before the third day.
