Bachelor of Physiotherapy
A Bachelor of Physiotherapy is an undergraduate program designed to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to become proficient physiotherapists. This comprehensive four-year degree focuses on the study of human anatomy, physiology, neuro-physiotherapy, Orthopedics & Traumatology, and therapeutic exercise. Students learn to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of physical conditions and injuries, utilising various manual techniques, exercise programs, and modalities to restore movement and function. It is followed by a 6 months' internship. The curriculum includes clinical placements that provide hands-on experience in real healthcare settings, allowing students to apply their learning under supervision. Upon completion, graduates are prepared to work in diverse healthcare settings, aiding patients in their recovery from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions, or helping individuals maintain overall physical well-being.
Course Duration: 4.5 Years (Including Internship of Six Months)
Eligibility: The candidate should have passed PU/+2 or its equivalent as recognised by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences/Association of Indian Universities with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. Candidates who have completed PU with Vocational Physiotherapy as optional subject are also eligible for this programme.
