Students have been selected every year for funding and participation in project exhibitions and competitions organized by Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST). Department has got many best project awards from state and national level project competitions. The department forum “RENAISSANCE” conducts many curricular and co-curricular activities such as workshops, training programs, seminars, blood donation camps etc., to involve and train the students for their all-round growth. The students of the department, over the years, are participating in technical competitions of very high repute all over India and have secured many prizes/awards, bringing laurels to the institute. To name a few, Smart India hackathon, Toycothon, SAE REEV, Robotics, Technophilia at IIT Bombay, Robotryst at IIT Delhi.

In addition the students of the department are also excelling in sports and cultural fronts. Vishnu, Table Tennis, Throw ball, baseball, Soft ball at National and International levels. The students of the Department are being placed in many multinational companies through campus placements. Many students of the department are continuing their higher studies in reputed universities in India and abroad. A few students have initiated startups, functioning successfully. Our students have been leaving an impression all over the country, making us count among the best Mechatronics Engineering Colleges in the state and the country.

Career Scope

Mechanical engineering graduates are adept at designing innovations and technological advancements in high-tech fields such as robotics, nanotechnology, and mechatronics, and are considered superior engineers in general. The study of mechanical engineering, one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines, provides graduates with knowledge and expertise that can be applied to numerous engineering fields. At the Acharya Institute of Engineering, the B. Tech. in In the Mechanical Engineering degree program, a great deal of attention is given to the design aspects of mechanical engineering: tool and die design, industrial robotics, gears and cams, oil hydraulics and pneumatics.

Vision

To achieve excellence in academics to develop proficient Mechatronics graduates with an innovative bent of mind to cater to the industrial and societal challenges.

An electromechanical system designed using computer controls is known as a mechatronic system. It is important that the mechanical system is designed together with the electrical/electronics and computer control aspects of a complete system.
Mechatronics Engineering is a combination of - Mechanical + Electronics + Computer Science. No equipment on this earth is made from sole engineering expertise, that is why Mechatronics Engineering is now introducing automation to various industrial tasks.
Engineering Mechatronics focuses on both electrical and mechanical systems, which is a sub-branch of engineering. Additionally, the course covers robotics, electronics, computer science, as well as many other topics.
In order to become a mechatronics engineer, you need a bachelor's degree in mechatronics engineering. Someone interested in mechatronics engineering would benefit from a degree in the field. Each university offers a different range of courses. Various universities place more emphasis on the study of electronics, mechanical engineering, and software and computing.
