Duration : 2 Years
Eligibility : Pass in any bachelor’s degree examination from a recognized university with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate of all subjects, including languages.

The Master of Social Work (MSW) is a postgraduate program that prepares students with the skills and knowledge required to work professionally in the field of social work. The programme trains students in the theories of social work, social practices, research and policy making. The programme focuses on the different ways and processes through which social well-being can be ensured.

The MSW Programme offers students a diverse range of career opportunities in social work and related fields. Based on whom they want to work with and in which sector, individuals can choose from fields like Rehabilitation Centres, Public Health Sector, Education Sector, Women Empowerment, Counseling Practices, Child and Family Services, Geriatric Services, Corporate Social Responsibility, Policy Making and Advocacy.

In the MSW programme, students are provided with both theoretical and practical exposure in different methods and procedures for social work. The course also emphasizes on allied areas such as human behavior, social welfare policy, human rights, research methods etc. The MSW programme also focuses on field-work practices. Various observation visits are organized to NGOs, hospitals, industries to understand and bridge the gap between theory and practice.
