Acharya Technology Business Incubator - Best Institute in Bangalore

Acharya's Business Incubator is dedicated to nurturing students' entrepreneurial visions, offering crucial support to technology-based startups, and forming strategic alliances between the institution and the fledgling businesses. By guiding startups through early-stage challenges and providing essential aid, the incubator plays a vital role in fostering economic development, job creation, and the realization of innovative ideas. We ensure that students' innovative ideas persist beyond graduation, offering them the platform they need to succeed.

The campus has extensive laboratory facilities in each of the institutions developed over the years. All of the existing infrastructure and laboratories with state of the art equipment will be made available to the incubate startups of NIDHI-TBI.

Highlights of our TBI include the availability of 22,000 sq. ft plus built-up space for Incubator and Innovation eco-system infrastructure at the Acharya campus; Optional additional infrastructure or on-demand co-working space closer to the Bangalore City CBD for any extended and ecosystem immersion programs and a generous pool of talents, resources, staff mentors and start-up prospects/student entrepreneurs from the Acharya group of Institutes.

The institute has prior experience of establishing Incubation Centre with corporate partners such as IBM and Sasken and has strong knowledge partnerships with EDII, IITB, Indian Horticulture Research Institute, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, National Aerospace Laboratories, IIMs and other renowned institutions.

Acharya TBI coordinates and leverages the synergies in various strands of excellence driving innovation and entrepreneurship at Acharya Institutes. Registered as a not for profit trust, Acharya Institutes TBI is creating successful Technology ventures, disrupting industries & translating benefits to the society at large.

Acharya TBI has so far supported 40+ startups since 2010. The startups have regularly received both technical, business and financial mentorship. Hand holding the startups to device product specifications, pilot plan, business plan, investment pitch is the daily routine of the TBI. The startups receive access to angel investors, customer connections and go-to-market support on an ongoing basis through the strong partner network created by the TBI.   • Business Toys: With an opportunity to pilot their product at Acharya and receiving feedback to help them iterate the product as per the market need enabled them to generate revenues to the tune of Rs. 45 Lakhs.
  • Preco Smart Solutions: With constant mentoring and support helped Preco Smart Solutions to expand their market to Andhra Pradesh along with Karnataka.
  • Leafbox has raised up to Rs.35 Lakhs and Samiksha Aerospace has raised funding to the tune of Rs. 25 Lakhs.

Empowering Innovators: Transforming ideas into compelling pitches

The workshop aimed to enhance the presentation skills of incubator teams, helping them refine their pitches through expert feedback. Six teams presented their ideas, received constructive criticism, and engaged in meaningful discussions. With a focus on clarity, storytelling, impactful visuals, confident delivery, and Q&A preparedness, the session provided valuable insights to elevate communication and make pitches more compelling.

Showcasing creativity at the Acharya Innovation Challenge!

The Acharya Innovation Challenge brought together 30 teams, including 15 from external colleges, showcasing creativity and entrepreneurship. Held on October 17, the event strengthened ties between academia and industry. Shortlisted teams will receive 12 months of free incubation at the Acharya Technology Business Incubator, fostering innovation and preparing students for real-world challenges.

Workshop on MSMEs and Target Customer Identification

Mr. Nayaz Ahmad from FTEE led a workshop on identifying target customers, focusing on essential marketing skills and understanding customer dynamics for business success. Additionally, Professor Pakkirappa provided insights on the role of MSMEs in the economy, available government schemes, and strategies for business development. Participants learned about business planning, sustainable growth, and the importance of networking. The session concluded with actionable steps for leveraging government support programs to enhance entrepreneurial success.
