Course Content

Duration : 4 years

Eligibility : Pass in 10+2 / Higher Secondary (HS) / Pre University (PUC) / 'A' Level (with 12 years of schooling) or it's equivalent with English as one of the languages. Shall have secured a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in core subjects. Or 3 years Diploma recognized by Technical board.

The programme is designed to:
  • PEO 1: Judge pertinent research problems, and execute a research plan, to generate and analyze result data
  • PEO 2: Develop and evaluate new and advanced technical skills to resolve problems related to respective specialized area.
  • PEO 3: Apply ethical codes of professional and research conducts conferring to specialized professions

  • PO 1: Conclude relevant scientific literature to identify new approaches in research

  • 1. Candidates intending to register for the PhD Programme shall appear for the entrance test conducted by the RGUHS
  • 1.2. An entrance test shall be a qualifying test with qualifying marks as 50%. The test consists of two papers, conducted in two sessions duration of one and half hours each. The syllabus of the first paper consists of Basics of research methodology which carry 50 marks. The Second theory paper will be a specialization subject, preferably short notes with the competence of PG standard carry 50 marks. The Entrance Test shall be conducted at the Centre(s) notified by the RGUHS
  • 1.3. An interview/viva-voce to be organized by the university for the candidates who successfully qualified the entrance exams only are selected for the Ph.D programme to discuss their research interest/area through a presentation before a Ph.D registration committee duly constituted by RGUHS
  • 1. 4. The interview/viva voce will also consider the following aspects, viz
    • Evaluate the research aptitude of the applicants
    • Whether a candidate possesses the competence/ skills for the proposed research
    • The research work can be suitably undertaken at the College
    • The proposed area of research can contribute to existing/new/additional knowledge
  • 1.5. There will be only one stream of admission annually. The eligibility secured at the entrance is valid for admission as per the calendar of events and such marks are valid for two terms
  • 1.6. The university will notify well in advance through the university website in regarding the criteria for the admission, procedure for the admission, details of entrance test centre and all other relevant information
Aeronautical Engineering covers the investigation into aerodynamic characteristics of aircrafts, including behaviors and related factors like airfoil, control surfaces, lift and drag. Along with Research, design and development of an aircraft.
