Bachelor in Occupational Therapy

Bachelors in Occupational Therapy, also known as BOT, is an undergraduate program in the field of health sciences. The four-year degree program has been well structured to groom students on practices of prevention, cure and rehabilitation for physically, emotionally, and mentally challenged individuals Occupational Therapists focus on helping individuals to attain their full potential and lead a meaningful life.

Bachelor in Occupational Therapy is a combination of classroom training and practical sessions in therapy clinics. BOT trains students to become skilled professional occupational therapists who are capable of undertaking independent/supervised practice. The course shapes the students' thinking ability to understand the means to cure patients by modifying the environment of the patient, educating them, and teaching them how to lead a regular life.

Duration : 4.5 Years (including internship of six months)

Eligibility : Student should pass in (10+2) or Higher Secondary. From a recognized board. with 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology with English as a principal subject.

An undergraduate degree in occupational therapy, also known as BOT, is offered in the field of science. Students are groomed in prevention and cure practices, as well as rehabilitation for physically, emotionally, and mentally challenged individuals in the four-year degree program.
Occupational therapy and the postgraduate diploma courses are the two-year degree and diploma courses after completion of the BOT or B.Sc degree with at least 55%.
For occupational therapy to be practiced, one must have a Bachelors degree or a higher degree. If you are planning to earn a Bachelors degree in occupational therapy, you may decide to major in biology, psychology, sociology, anthropology, liberal arts, or anatomy.
This is a 4 year Programme, including 1 year of Internship. Candidates applying for the programme must have completed two year Pre-University examination or equivalent as recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences with, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as principal subjects of study.
