About the Program

First Aid and Management are essential components of emergency response, offering immediate assistance and care to those in need. This vital skill set involves quick and effective actions to address injuries, illnesses, and potentially life-threatening situations. From treating wounds and managing shock to handling musculoskeletal injuries and respiratory emergencies, first aid equips individuals with the knowledge and tools to respond promptly and decisively. This short but impactful training provides the foundation for becoming a capable and confident first responder, ready to make a positive impact in critical situations.

General objectives

At the end of the three days workshop the participants will be able to recognize various first Aid Emergencies and importance of its management and apply this knowledge in care of patients , nursing education and proper recognition of their capacity.

Specific objectives

  • Define the term "first aid."
  • Explain the basic principles that guide the administration of first aid.
  • Identify the importance and significance of first aid in emergency situations.
  • Describe the scope of first aid in various scenarios.
  • Summarize the legal and ethical considerations related to administering first aid.
  • Assess and provide appropriate first aid for different types of wounds.
  • Differentiate between musculoskeletal injuries, including fractures, dislocations, and muscle injuries.
  • Identify safe and effective methods for transporting injured individuals.
  • Recognize signs of respiratory distress and emergencies.
  • Perform basic CPR using hands-only techniques.
