About the Program

The Paper Hackathon is an intensive research paper writing workshop designed to help nursing faculty and researchers collaborate, develop, and enhance their research manuscripts for publication in high-impact journals. This event fosters academic excellence by providing participants with the tools, mentorship, and peer feedback necessary for producing quality research papers.

By collaborating with Universitas Negeri Padang, Indonesia, this Hackathon aims to create an international platform for academic exchange, promoting cross-institutional research collaborations.

Objectives of the Program
  • Enhance Research Paper Writing Skills: To equip participants with the skills to structure and write research papers suitable for peer-reviewed journals.
  • Foster International Collaboration: To encourage joint research and publication efforts between faculties from Smt. Nagarathnamma College of Nursing and Universitas Negeri Padang.
  • Facilitate Peer Review and Feedback: To provide opportunities for peer evaluation and constructive feedback, ensuring manuscripts meet academic and publication standards.
  • Strengthen Research Culture: To promote a robust research culture within the institution by engaging faculty in hands-on research development.

11:15 AM - 01:00 PM Writing Session 1:
Manuscript Drafting
Participants start writing or refining their research papers, focusing on sections such as the introduction, background, and literature review. Mentors from both institutions will provide real-time guidance.

02:00 PM - 03:30 PM Peer Review & Feedback
Session 1
Participants exchange drafts for peer review and receive constructive feedback from colleagues and mentors.
03:30 PM - 04:30 PM Writing Session 2:
Refining Key Sections
Focus on refining the research methodology, results, and discussion sections of the manuscripts. Mentors provide targeted advice.

Manuscript Refinement, Collaboration, and Conclusion

Polishing the Manuscript
Focus on refining the abstract, conclusion, and references. Participants will also work on integrating peer feedback from Day 1.

Session 2
Final peer review round for polishing manuscripts. Emphasis on final checks before submission for publication.

02:00 PM - 04:00 PM Final Presentations & Manuscript Submission Participants present their refined research papers to the group and mentors. Final submission of manuscripts.
