  • Understanding and absorbing the content and pedagogical changes in the curriculum.
  • Refreshing technical skills related to Building physics, energy efficient building design,
  • sustainable cooling technologies, bio-climatic design/passive design interventions for new buildings as well as retrofitting.
  • Learning sustainable cooling technologies and passive design principles through demonstration of and hands-on operation of the physical teaching models, as well as learning to integrate them in building designs using Smart Energy software.
  • Sensitization of the issue of heat stress and exploring and expanding potential and responsibility of architecture enabling thermal comfort in Informal settlements.
  • Co creating horizontally and vertically integrated sustainable design approach and deliberately interconnected lesson plans for courses, across the primary subject streams in the 5 year time span of the entire course.
Expected Outcome of the Program
  • Faculty will be able to understand and learn technical skills related to Building physics, energy efficient building design, sustainable cooling technologies, bio-climatic design/passive design interventions for new buildings as well as retrofitting, Cooling techniques and passive design principles, mitigation of heat stress in Urban environments, integrating the sustainable design approach in various courses by hands on activities and informative sessions.
