About the Program
This five-day VAP on “Industry 4.0: Industrial Automation Problems and Solutions using PLC & SCADA” provides students with a solid foundation in automation concepts, PLCs, relay logic, and SCADA systems. It covers ladder logic programming, PLC hardware and software, real-time simulation using WPL Soft, and hands-on projects like car parking, bottle filling, and motor control. Students also explore advanced PLC instructions, interfacing techniques, and SCADA visualization for industrial applications. The course blends theory and practical sessions, enabling learners to understand automation challenges and implement real-world solutions using PLCs and SCADA, aligning with the demands of Industry 4.0.
Objectives of the Program
- To make students acquainted with the conceptual as well as practical knowledge of Industrial Automation
- To make students learn about different PLCs and their significance in industries through automation
- Introduction to Ladder Programming and its usage to solve real-time problems and to improve logical, analytical, and programming skills
Expected outcomes of the programme
- Understand the concepts of ladder programming
- Learn the usage of PLC I/O ports, timers, counters, and memory units to automate industrial processes
- Perform real-time industrial application projects using Delta WPL Soft Tool Simulator and Android PLC Simulator App and using PLCs
