About the Program

Objectives of the Program
  • To familiarize with basic biological concepts and their engineering applications.
  • To enable the understanding of bio-design principles to create novel devices and structures.
  • To provide an appreciation of how biological systems can be re-designed as substitute products for natural systems.
  • To develop an inter-disciplinary vision of biological engineering.
Expected Outcome of the Program
  • To identify potential interdisciplinary research areas and collaboration opportunities.
  • To equip faculty to indulge in teaching biological concepts.
  • Mimic biological systems to develop efficient real-time applications in healthcare, agricultural and environmental sectors.
  • Create novel devices and structures using bio-design principles and apply for collaborative grants.
