About the Program

Microstrip antennas, also known as patch antennas, are widely used in wireless communications, radar, and satellite systems due to their low profile, light weight, and ease of fabrication. These antennas consist of a dielectric substrate with a conductive patch on one side and a ground plane on the other. Simulation plays a crucial role in designing and optimizing microstrip antennas before physical fabrication. Several software tools, such as CST Microwave Studio, MATLAB, HFSS (High-Frequency Structure Simulator), and FEKO, are commonly used for antenna modeling.

Expected Outcome

  • The students will able to work on Microstrip antenna design and evaluate its performance using MATLAB

Objectives of the Program

  • To equip student with knowledge on Microstrip antenna design using MATLAB.
