Renal Dialysis Technology is a specialized field of allied health science which deals with hemodialysis. They are also taught about the applied aspects of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pathology and pharmacology related to dialysis technology, concepts of renal disease and its management and applied dialysis technology.

Renal dialysis technology deals with monitoring and operation of dialysis machinery. The renal dialysis technicians are responsible for the cleaning, sterilization and operation of the dialysis machinery. They are also responsible for the maintenance and repairs of the dialysis machines. The technicians are employed in hospitals, clinics, and dialysis centers.
