Discovered 80km long ridge reef at 110ft depth off Orissa coast, Principal Investigator for about 12 yrs of Dept of Ocean development National project on Drugs from sea, reported over 140 sedentary organisms for the first time, isolated over 600 marine microbes, several of industrial and biomedical importance  1973-2002
