The Department was set up in 2009, which offers an undergraduate course in Commerce with an intake capacity of 60 Students. In 2010, we commenced PG program in Commerce.

In 2011, 2 more PG programs MFA and MIB were added. Presently the total intake capacity of the department is 380 Students. The department is supported by blend of experienced and young qualified teaching faculty. The department organizes workshops, seminars and invites talks from experts frequently with the help of professional bodies. We encourage overall development of the student by conducting various activities like workshops, FDPs, online courses and National/International Conferences. Students Fourm/Club – Club Yukthi for B.Com students and Zinios for the PG Students provide a platform to develop the students’ personality and knowledge.
Eligibility : Graduates in B.Com. or BBM or equivalent under 10+2+3 pattern from any Recognised University, has secured not less than 50% aggregate in Commerce subjects.
Career Scope :
Besides being qualified for further advanced studies and research in the area of Statistics, candidates can subsequently taking up the job of teacher / lecturer in universities and colleges after passing exams like UGC-NET/JRF, a candidate gaining M.Com degree can learn for Chartered Accountancy and Company Secretary-ship also.
